03 Jun How to Care for Your Office Table
Easy Care Tips for Office Table
A little care goes a long way. Find out how to keep your office table in showroom condition for years to come!
1. Regular Cleaning
“… the average desk has 100 times more bacteria than a kitchen table and
400 times more bacteria than the average toilet,”
– Charles P. Gerba
American microbiologist
Regular cleanups helps to ensure that the workspace is in a hygienic condition. And you will just need a soft cloth, mild soap, and warm water to do the job.
To dust, simply use the soft cloth dry; to remove light stains, use gentle soap on affected area before removing with warm water and a soft cloth.
Note: Avoid using abrasive cleaners that may contain alcohol, bleach or acetone as they might damage the finishing on the tabletop instead.
2. Additional Protection
Accidents happen.
We may knock our drinks over or leave a scratch on the tabletop with the letter opener. As a precaution, we would suggest using using desk pads and coasters.
Plus you can choose the design that you like to make your workspace feel more like you!
Note: Wipe up any accidental spills or pooling of liquid as soon as you spot them to prevent permanent staining or bubbling of the tabletop.
To remove any stubborn stains or a white ring, work on it with a soft bristle brush, microfibre cloth, soap, and water.
Avoid using excessive pressure though! And add in some amount of patience for it to work.
3. Space Organisation
This applies to both space in the office and space on the table.
The position of the table matters because placing the table in direct sunlight will allow the UV rays to cause permanent discolouration, so do take note of that.
As for the tabletop, we suggest investing in proper storage for stationery, especially for sharp ones that can damage the tabletop.
Stashing these items away in the mobile pedestal drawers or in the hanging organisers will help in maintain the condition of the tables.
